This work is part of the Vauxhall Network Upgrade to eliminate outdated equipment and upgrade utility poles and equipment where necessary to ensure optimal service for customers. Thank you for understanding as we improve electric service reliability for the region.īeginning in July 2017 and continuing intermittently through June 2018, PSE&G will be replacing utility poles throughout Union Township. It is essential that you and everyone using your property, including children and pets, refrain from going near our construction work zones. PSE&G will work with the Union Township Police to keep traffic impacts to a minimum. Lane closures and detours may occur during construction. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Some aspects of these activities may result in unavoidable noise. To comply with the Board of Public Utilities’ Vegetation Management Rules, we may also trim and remove trees where necessary. The Vaux Hall project is expected to be completed in 2022, while the other two projects are expected to be completed in 2021. In addition, we are upgrading the existing Vaux Hall, Stanley Terrace and Springfield Road substations. This work will continue through spring 2021, followed by cleanup and restoration. We are installing taller, sturdier utility poles and running new electric wires along existing pole lines. Please note: PSE&G does not expect these projects to cause any service interruptions. The projects will install 69kV circuits connecting PSE&G stations around the state. Throughout the state of New Jersey, PSE&G infrastructure upgrades will reduce the demand on the existing 26kV network. These enhancements will improve both electric service reliability and system redundancy to ensure safe and reliable service to our customers. PSE&G is currently conducting statewide electric reliability improvements to its utility infrastructure.
